LIQUID EYE-LINER Help? PLEASE Help Me! Thanks!!...?

Usually I use a pencil eye-liner, but I like the way it looks on all these models and I got some for my b-day.

When I were make-up, I ONLY wear eye-liner and mascara.

I NEVER wear eye-shadow or anything...

Please help me make it look nice.

Any tips?

I am pretty good at normal eyeliner but not liquid.

Thanks.

I have L'oreal Paris Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eye Liner.

So I know you should only apply it to the top lashes, but how?? Whenever I try it looks HORRIBLE. Can you give me step by step easy instructions?LIQUID EYE-LINER Help? PLEASE Help Me! Thanks!!...?
Dear Trina,

This is how you apply your eyeliner:

1.Assuming you have a steady hand (if not, try this sitting down so you can steady your arm by placing your elbow on a table),position your pencil, so it is as close to the lash-line along the eyelid as possible.

2. Then draw a line from the inner to outer corner using one fluid stroke, following the curvature of the eyelid. Do not extend the line past the outer corner of the eye or hug the tear-drop area of the eye.

3.To start, keep the line as thin as possible, and if a thicker line is desired, repeat the process either across the entire lash-line or simply on the outer third of the lid along the lashes.

4. Making the line along the eyelid a solid, even one, starting thin at the front third of the lid and becoming slightly thicker at the back third of the lid can be an attractive classic look.

5.You can line all the way across the eyelid if you like, from the inside corner to the outer edge, or you can stop the line where the lashes stop and start.

6. Along the lower lashes, line only the outer two-thirds of the eye. Make sure that the two lines meet at the back corner of the eye.

7.As a general rule, avoid lining all the way across the lower eyelashes. Leaving some space on the inside corner of the eye where the lashes end near the tear ducts gives a softer, less severe look. Plus, wrapping a complete circle of eyeliner around the eye tends to create an eyeglasses look and can make the eyeliner a stronger statement than the eye itself.

About the colour,It actually depends on your skin tone,as idont know your skin tone colour i can advise you on a general basis.

-For a classic eyeliner application, choose shades of dark brown, gray, or black eyeshadow for the upper lid and a softer shade of those鈥攖an, taupe, chestnut, soft brown, soft gray, or soft black鈥攁long the lower lashes.

- Eyeliner is meant to give depth to the lashes and make them appear thicker.

-If the liner is a bright color or a true pastel, attention will be focused past the lashes to the colored line, as opposed to the more subtle flow of color from dark lashes to dark liner.

-Test it on yourself.

-Line one eye with a vibrant color, the other eye with brown or black, and see which one looks like it has thicker lashes.

-Then, if all my attempts to convince you have failed, and you still prefer to use bright or pastel liners, go for it.

P/S :REMEMBER TO SHARPEN YOUR EYELINER PENCIL BEFORE USE TO PREVENT BACTERIA INFECTION.

I understand that at times it might be a little difficult to follow step by step procedurs,so ive found you this excellent link to check out the step-by-step video.Im sure you will be a prefessional with all this help.LIQUID EYE-LINER Help? PLEASE Help Me! Thanks!!...?
You should only do the bottom and STOP using the Q Tips to wipe it because it smudges. Just do it slowly across the bototom
The best tip I can give you is to put on pencil eyeliner first, and then go over it with the liquid. When and if you get better with applying the liquid, you can stop using the pencil if you want. I use Clinique liquid eyeliner because it's applied the same way as pencil eyeliner, Avon has the same style and it's cheaper.

To apply the pencil eyeliner, lean your head back enough where you can still see yourself in the mirror, stretch your eyes out (one at a time), and apply like normal, this makes the line nice and thin. I don't know if my directions make sense to you, but if they do, I hope it works for you.
liquid eyeliner... just follow your lash line not making the line too thick.

if you notice the line getting too thick then take some off with make up remover.

i guess it depends on how you want it to look though.

but thats what i do every morning and people like it!!!
To get yourself started, just make the handle horizontal and press it to your eyelid, right where the eyelashes are. It's kind of hard to say what I mean.. But just practice with it at home until you're comfortable with it :)
first you are gonna wanna hold your eye still. second you are going to paint a continuous line as close to your lash line as possible . keep a few q tips dipped in makeup remover handy to sweep away any mistakes. then wait a few seconds so it dries . then thats all
It's all aobut practice. In time you'll get it~!

What I do is, put my elbow on the table, and pull my eye to make it look squinted, it's easier that way. When you apply it, do it slowly, 'cause if you do it too fast, you'll make a mistake. If you mess up, grab a cotton swab, dip it in water or your favorite makeup remover, and just take it off (:
umm i dunno how to tell u step by step but i have been wearing that stuff for years now, i dont know how big of a line you want at the top i leave my eye open and do it, another way is u can take the corner of your eye and pull it a little then do it that way, im just telling you now u better practice alot with it before you try puttin it on right before you go some place!!!! and its gunna take a couple of days to get ahang of it just dont get pissed, another thing is if u make a mistake take a q-tip and u can wipe it right off but u have to do it when its still wet..... good luck i hope i helped

just keep practicin
When I first started using liquid liner I just couldn't get it right.

I can give you tips, but I don't know what look you're going for.

The only real tip anyone can really give you is to just keep practicing and trying different things. You'll be a pro eventually. :)
try balancing your pinkie finger on your nose while putting it on

and try doing it slowly and yet efficiently by balancing =]
ok i wear liquid eyeliner but i use loreal telescopic eyeliner. the first time i tried it it looked awful too but u just have to practice. 1 pull your eye into a slant( you know like how u did when you were little and you wanted to look Chinese) but close one eye 2 take the eyeliner and apply it like you would with a pencil . and there you have it is really not all that complicated.
