liquid eyeliner -
pros : stays there for a long time and doesnt smudge, leak or smear,
you get a defined precise line
easier to apply
cons : once you screw up it takes alot to fix it.
more expensive
you dont get the smudy smokey look,
thin lined, like, it looks like you took a marker and put it on your eyes .
i think its more difficult to use if you're just getting used to eyeliner.
pencil eyeliner -
pros : comes in about 48543 colors and textures.
easy to smudge to make different effects,
comes in waterproof so if you do smudge it doesnt leak all over your face.
easier to use, or correct.
cheaper !
cons : most pencils smudge or leak alot quicker or easier.
sharpening is constantly annoying.
the wood can sometime poke at your eye.
if you dont get a good eyeliner, it can pull at your skin if its too hard.
takes a while to find the perfect pencil for you.
i prefer pencil over liquid any day. but whatever floats your boat.
bonne bell, almay, cover girl, mac, new york color make pretty good eyeliners !Liquid eyeliner or pencil eye liner?which is better and why?
liquid eyeliner on the top of the lash line as it is more bolder effective n less likely 2 smudge and pencil in the inner n outter 4 smoky effect so ya can smudge it!! rimmel liquid eyeliner is gr8 i swear by it n borjouis eyepencil black at 1 end white on other!!Liquid eyeliner or pencil eye liner?which is better and why?
My preference is pencil eyeliner that's slightly soft. The dry stuff doesn't work well. Try Revlon or Rimmel. Also, if your really pale, go with a charcoal color, rather than black. But if your tan, go for blackest black!
i use bare minerals liner shadows, wet, or dry.
liquid , it makes ur eyes more defined %26amp; it doesn't smudge %26amp; it stays on longer
Just 1 guy's opinion, but I really can't stand eyeliner. Au naturale for me!
I don't like liquid very much because if your hand slips one little bit you get it everywhere. With pencil, you have to press a little harder so it is harder to make mistakes. Also, you can smudge pencil eyeliner and make the smoky eyes look. You can't do that with liquid.
Liquid has more endurance, however without a steady hand and some practice, it's a bit tricky at first! Keep some q tips nearby so that you can erase any mistakes.
Pencil is good because you can easily smudge it to get that smoky look to your eyes. Both have good qualities!
Pencil - way easier to use, lots of colours and it's smudgeable (gives a smoky look).

I got bits of liquid liner in my eye.. am i going to be okay?
i was taking off my liner
then some go tin my eye... jus tliek dried bits
i spent a while qith q-tips pulling my lids down and gently dabbing to get the bits off
what if i missed a few... am i going to be okay
i now noticed two small grayish dots on my waterline.. not sure if it was there before... or it just caught my attention now %26gt;%26lt;I got bits of liquid liner in my eye.. am i going to be okay?
They wouldn't make eyeliner with blinding chemicals, calm down. I've gotten makeup in my eyes about a thousand times, I can see.I got bits of liquid liner in my eye.. am i going to be okay?
Yes your going to be fine, ask yourself, why would they make something to use on your eyes, knowing it might get into them, if it was going to damage your eyes.....Just flush your eyes with lots of water, dry them off and reappy the liner.
Don't mess with your eye, as that is what will cause you problems rather than the eyeliner. Use some eye wash, which you can buy at the phmcy.
Eyeliner would be outlawed if it can damage your eye after a small amount got in.
Yeahh you'll be fine, I'm into the 'cat eye' look so I'm constantly hurting myself XD It's fine, just try not to do it with wet liquid eyeliner..jeeez that hurts
Call an ambulance!

I normally use black eye liner, (kohl not liquid) i want to experiment with different eye liner colours......?
i have blue/grey eyes and dark brown hair, what colours would you recommend and what eye shadows colours would go with it. thanks.
this would be for an evening look, not day wear. xI normally use black eye liner, (kohl not liquid) i want to experiment with different eye liner colours......?
I absolutely LOVE experimenting with eyeliners (I'm the girlfriend of the guy whose account this is, NOT the guy, so you can trust me!!) So, i think that with your colouring, you should try using green eye shadow with a really shimmery silver liquid liner, or kohl. Because your used to wearing black, you wont feel like your eyes are lined properly at first, but it will look great. Alternatively, a brown liner with gold eye shadow will really compliment your hair, and bring out your eyes if they are a greyish blue (like mine!) Have fun!!I normally use black eye liner, (kohl not liquid) i want to experiment with different eye liner colours......?
thanks as well to everyone else for your answers too. Report Abuse
I use a silver one , it brings out my blue eyes perfectly , you should try a liquid one though they are great .
I have blue eyes and i wear white eyeliner it makes the eye appear more sparkly and it is differant i would try benefit high beam along the brow bone and your eyes wil look fab as i have the same colour hair and eyes and i am a beauty therapist i think people can go a bit mad with eyeshadow and this look acheives a clean crisp look
A navy would be pretty in an 80s way and not too crazy or like an electric blue if you want something dramatic. And if you are doing a color like navy, you can just do like a gray smokey eye but if you use bright eyeliner i would not wear eyeshadow or just wear something natural.
Charcoal.
It's very differen't from black. and creates a very sexy, dark cat eye look.
I think white and pink eye shadows go well with it.
brown
My missus says brown/black, or grey.
navy blue or grey eyeliner
teal or purple
maybe a gray or blue or brown
I have electric blue, steele grey, dark green %26amp; olive. They all work really well (I have all of them as pencils and liquids!) I used to also have lilac and gold but gold looks better if you have dark features and I wouldn't recommend lilac if you're over 13.
Purple would look fabulous! Almay do a great one that is subtle but noticable.
Try Onyx by covergirl. Its a really dark blue/green color. Very pretty.
Definately BROWN!
purple for sure - urban decay do a gorgeous one i use called lust - dont use eyeshadow with it though thats to over the top, maybe some sparkles on the eyelid or a highlighter over the brow bone
blue or plum
Deep purle or very dark navy blue Dark shadows with blue green or purple ar ealways pretty
I have blue/gray eyes as well. I use brown eyeliner because I think it looks less harsh than black...especially for day. Check out Carmindy's website. She is the make-up artist on What Not to Wear. She has some helpful tips!
stick with darker colours, navy, brown etcphone

Liquid eye liner??
How do girls use liquid eye liner on they're bottem lids, every time i try it it ends up in a big mess and in my eye, any pointers??Liquid eye liner??
1.Stand in front of the mirrior Tilt you head downward and pull down you lower eye lid.
2. Carefully slide on your eyelid (try not to blink)
3.Have a tissue by your side incase you mess up (step 2 of proactive is a really good make-up remover)
4.add touch-ups
If this didn't help I suggest buying a pencil its a lot easier.
Hope this helped!Liquid eye liner??
liquid eyeliner isnt suppose to be meant for the bottom lid. only top lid. well its best to use pencil for bottom lid and smear it a lil. and use liquid for top lid! : ) Report Abuse
it takes practice..but to make life easier you can buy a dry one that looks wet when you put it on to give you a great look from MAC. Also it is better when you use the dry ones- they last longer under the eye. The liquid ones you would have to reapply.
don't use it on the bottom lids! instead use a softer khol pencils or a very thin line of darker shadow. This will soften the look but it will still look sharp having used it on your top lid. That will also open your eyes up more ;-)
roll your eyes when you put it on, be sure you have a mirror right above your head then you can see where you put it on and you won't have a big mess under your eye
Dont try to draw the whole line at once. Draw a little at a time go thin so you can even it out later.
why not just use a pencil? its less expensive and alot easier to apply
I could never get the hang of it, either
It takes a whole lot of practice. For the longest, I could line my upper eyelids just fine with the liquid eyeliner but not the lower. Personally, I think it is easier to line the bottom with pencil.
try not to get it inside ur eyes .. personally i find using a pencil on the lower lids is easier and faster and u can get it inside ur eye without causing a mess . use the liquid on ur upper eyelids it gives them more shape and color than a pencil
practice, practice, practice.
Use your non-dominant hand to steady your dominant hand.
draw below the waterliner
once, the ink went into my eye and i had to redo my makeup

Do you like liquid or pencil eye liner?
Pencil eye liner all the way.
Cuss one time I was at a store, and I saw some eye liner.I was like ';eh.I'll try it';
and bad idea.I didn't really know how to use it all that well I guess.
I did the same thing as I would do with my pencil eye liner, then I let go of my eyes, and ALL OF THE EYE LINER WENT INSIDE MY EYE!
I could see like pure black in my eye!I thought I would have to call the Poison people!I was so freaked out!I thought I was gonna go blind people!
but thankfully it washed out really easily.I threw that thing in the trash so freaking fast. It's a health risk people!
Which do you prefer and why?Do you like liquid or pencil eye liner?
I know what you're talking about. That happened only because liquid eye-liner usually goes on your upper lids, while you can put pencil liner on the inside of your eye. You could put liquid eyeliner on the bottom too, but it would have to be done carefully along your bottom eyelashes.
Also, if you like the look of liquid eyeliner, but hate the mess, you could try Eye Pen. It's kind of like a marker, which you line your eyes with. It's way easier to use.Do you like liquid or pencil eye liner?
liquid for me. I don't know, i guess i have a steady hand or something but i'm good at it, and it comes out looking really pretty and smooth. I just cant use pencil, it never works out for me, its too like crayon-y looking or too thick for my eyes. It stays on for a while too, so i guess if your a good applier for liquid you'll really like it.
I prefer pencil. It's easier to put on, and its less messy.
I tried liquid once. Such a bad idea. It got me mad, cause it was icky. I would mess up so many times! Not even funny. I spilled it on my hands, and I had to go to school like that. Yeah, and I got it in my eye too. Except, it was just like a line of it, but my whole eye turned red. Not fun.
Pencil all the way.
Liquid is hard to get use to and you'll need like a full day of not going anywhere to practice with it.
You can risk getting it in your eye or messing up and its really hard to get off.
I use NYC Color eyeliner..and I love it. Its only .99 hahaha
:O
Yeah, Its pretty hard to get on, it always get in my eye :X
I only use it on my top lid, its much easier, and I don't have to use black eyeshadow. Then for the bottom, I use pencil, a really good kind so it doesn't look stupid.
♥
I like the kind from Bobbi Brown that has a little brush and a tiny bottle of black eyeliner stuff hah. It looks just like the liquid when it's on but it's really easy to get a perfect line.
pencil or retractable eyeliner if i'm in a rush.
and liquid if i'm going to be out all day because it lasts longer. it takes a while to get used to but it leaves a thinner line and looks cleaner.
Pencil, I like the way it looks more and liquid eye liner is SO hard to use. I honestly can't do it without making my eyes look like total crap ahh maybe it's just me lol but my hand is always shaky haha.
I use pencil for the bottom and liquid for the top. Most people do. I like to use pencil on the bottom cause i looks better and liquid looks better on top.
I use liquid eyeliner. I find it goes on easier, although I have never used the pencil type of eyeliner. I should try it, I guess. Next time I go to the store, I'll get some. :)
i like liquid eye liner coz iys make my eyes looks more beautiful!
but it takes more practice to perfect the application.thank god im a fast learner!
its up to you wich do u prefer! pencil is easy to use!
LOL, I've had that same experience a couple of times, but I've found an eyeliner that I like that doesn't do that, so I'm in love with my liquid eyeliner.
pencil is so much easier to use for me. it doesnt get everywhere, and your less likely to mess up. but, for some, liquid is better.
I like pencil because it's more natural looking and it's easier to apply so it usually looks better.
Pencil eyeliner all the way, because it's much easier to put on your eyes and liquid is very difficult.
Pencil. I suck at liquid and its way harder to draw one line.... itsharder to smudge and really thin... i just use it when i want a really dark color or i dont have a pencil. ;)
PENCIL !!! i hate liquid eye liner, the same thing happened to me, except my eye wasn't entirely black, Thank God ! pencil is so much better and liquid gets smudged real easily
pencil because I always wear eyeliner on my water line and it is not good to wear liquid on the water line.
Wow but you can only use Liquid eyeliner for your top leyelid not under on the bottom. I use both.
I love pencil eyeliner because it's more precise and doesn't make a huge mess.
I like liquid eye liner but it always goes in my eyes after an hour too. So i stick with the pencil.
Liquid by far.
I love that sharp defined line, and it lasts so much longer than pencil.
Liquid because you have more control when you know how to use it and it's a lot darker.
Both...pencil on my bottom and liquid on top so that i can wing it out.

Does anyone own the product LIGUIFY-EYE by TOO FACED (the one that transforms eyeshadow into liquid liner)
This one..
http://www.toofaced.com/product.asp?cat_鈥?/a>
and i was wondering how long does a bottle of that size last you? Because it looks so small and i just bought it and im so scared its gonna run out.
Thxxx!Does anyone own the product LIGUIFY-EYE by TOO FACED (the one that transforms eyeshadow into liquid liner)
Well depends how often you use it but id guess about a month or two (if you use it everyday)
If you do run out, the cheaper alternative to that is using some contact solution and dipping your eyeliner brush into it then dip it into eyeshadow. Works the same!!Does anyone own the product LIGUIFY-EYE by TOO FACED (the one that transforms eyeshadow into liquid liner)
Honestly.. I love it so so much!!
Its so worth the money and it lasts a long time..remember that it has so many dif. colors so it lasts a very long time..The colors are beautiful wet or dry..
One of my favorite products definetely..
You have to get it . You will love it
hi ya i do have that.. i love it.. um a bottle usually lasts me anywhere from 3-4 months depending on how much you use it.. no it doesnt rilly run out quickly either.. trust me ul love it so much.. i no i do.. good luck
I got it almost 4 months ago and it still has product left in it. You don't want it to last too long 'cause it can harbor bacteria. I love it, tho.

Liquid or Pencil eye liner?
Which one is better and what is a good brand to use?? Thanks :)Liquid or Pencil eye liner?
Liquid smears a lot but you get a more accurate shape with liquid, so, I guess whatever you prefer.
I have to agree, MAC is awesome :DLiquid or Pencil eye liner?
liquid: sephora brand
Pencil: rimmel, revlon
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=2鈥?/a>
This is a link to a question i answered that's basically the same(It's the bested answer). Check it out, i's detailed, and should help.
Also, I would try sephora or lakme` eyeliners.
Hope I cud help.
I would say pencil eye liner because it gives you a little more leeway if you mess up and its easier to apply. I use maybelline
liquid for top eyelid pencil for bottom, bobby brown is good
depends what you want to use them for, if you want more of a defined eyeliner, use liquid, but if you want more layed back and less intense use pencil i'd say. but its up to you.
exaggerate by rimmel is good.
pencil.
well, i use liquid eyeliner on my top lid. and pencil on my bottom.
try covergirl eyeliner, or MAC.
once you get the hang of liquid its super easy.
pencil eyeliner.liquid u can mess up fast.i'm using N.Y.C. eyeliner in black.it's like $1.00 i think.
i think pencil eye liner it's better that way u dont mess pu
that much wth liquid
Mac; nyx; nyc; rite aid sells it all exept for mac they have the best pruducts and seperate stores ! :)
both
Pencil.
Unless your really good with the Liquid but its easy to messup %26amp;%26amp; then you have to start all over again:] blah.
hah.
Um N.Y.C. is good.
I use both at the same time. Revlon colorstay liquid liner %26amp; rimmel black eye pencil. o_o
depends what for and who you are.
liquid is great for a dramatic effect, IF you can apply it steadily and well. it will really define your eyes. i use miss sporty! get anything with a fine tip.

pencil is a good all-rounder. can be casual or formal. easy to use but can smudge. really brings out eyes. but it might not suit everyones eyes/ complexion. i use lancome. the proper cosmetic companys like lancome, estee lauder, clinique are all good and reliable

I like pencil eyeliner, mostly because you have more control and it can't run as easily.
it's really easy to mess up with liquid eyeliner, and something it'll drip down into your tear glands and it isn't pretty, trust me.
The best kinds of eyeliner are basically the same concept as pencil, but arent literally a wooden pencil, but the kind that you screw up to get more.
I like to use use covergirl perfect point plus eyeliner. The point is thinner than most eyeliners so you can use it rimming around your eyes or on the top and it won't look like too much.
Liquid smears a lot but you get a more accurate shape with liquid, so, I guess whatever you prefer.
I have to agree, MAC is awesome :DLiquid or Pencil eye liner?
liquid: sephora brand
Pencil: rimmel, revlon

both
Pencil.

Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?
It all depends on where and what you're doing and how well your eyes uphold the makeup. Pencil tends to smudge and crease more so than liquid. If your skin is especially oily or if it's going to be a hot and humid day, pencil might not be the best choice. Liquid does have a more dramatic effect, but when applied correctly it can also create a smokey and/or natural effect. I recommend Stila smudge pots because it lasts all day regardless of the weather and you can smudge it (hence the name of the product) to create the same effect as a pencil. Hope this helps!Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?
I use both, and don't prefer one or the other. The liquid one though is much easier and it looks better, but the pencil can have a not so overdone effect. so it doesn't look al perfect, you know? you can use it like for the smoky eye, whereas the liquid is just to line. Plus, liquid stays on longer.Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?
Liquid liner for going out at night because it stands out more. Pencil for daytime as it looks more soft and natural.
eye-liner because eye liner stays and look better and it doesn't come off when you cry.
pencil liquid is a pain to get off plus it could run easier
Pencil looks nicer, and you can blend it in to make it look softer.... Liquid is harsh looking and should only be used if you're looking for a dramatic effect, like a night on the town....
I know someone who used liquid eyeliner on her wedding day, and it looked horrible....
Depends whatever you like better.
if it's gonna be a long night I'd go with liquid.
but it's your opinion really.
Pencil. The liquid flakes.
I'd say pencil. Because once my friend accidentally put the liquid in her eye. Ouch.... And I find it easier with the pencil one.
Liquid liners are great for making a BOLD line on the lids but not as great for under your eyes. To make your eyes POP you can use a pencil liner in the inner rims of your eyes (the entire eye*) that can make your eye color really pop. To make your eyeshadow POP use a thin line of black liquid liner on the lids as close to your eyelashes as possible. My favorite is a combination. Using a bright or light eyeshadow and coloring the entire inner rims of my eyes with a black eye lining pencil and making a thin line with black liquid liner on my lids near the eyelashes. Just please remember to NEVER put liquid liner insider or use it to line the inner rims of your eyes you can get a serious irritation and can even go blind if you are allergic.
Good luck and have fun finding your own individual look!
I like the pencil. But, I really can't apply the liquid very well. That's why. I don't have a steady hand, and when I was practicing with the liquid the lines were all wiggly.
Hope this helps.
pencil, because it stays on better than liquid. if it smears a bit you can just wipe it off. but liquid just spreads when u wipe it
It's all about personal preference.
Liquid makes more of a defined line and it is more dramatic, but if you apply it light enough it can work for daytime makeup too. Liquid generally goes on smoother than pencil too.
Pencils are more versatile, and smudge much better, these are more practical, but some people prefer liquid (me included). Pencils are a little harder to find something that won't tug at your eyelids, but there are a lot of good liners.
Try both kinds of liners out and see which one you prefer! Good luck!phone

Liquid or Stick eye liner?
Do you prefer liquid or stick eye liner?
How do you apply liquid? I have round shaped eyes and I don't want them to look smaller.
Also, I have light brown/gold color eyes and dark brown hair. What's a good eye liner color?
Thanks!Liquid or Stick eye liner?
i use liquid because it stays on well, no matter what, but comes off easily with eye makeup remover. use the covergirl line exact liquid liner...it's the best. you apply it just like your normal eyeliner. it's a little difficult the first couple times but you get used to it fast. if you mess up, just soak a q-tip in eye makeup remover and fix it. i think a good liner color for you would be a dark brown.
good luck!Liquid or Stick eye liner?
I personally use stick eyeliner- I find it much easier to apply. However, if you are somewhere humid or are sweating, or even just wearing it for several hours, it tends to smudge, smear, get clumped in the corner of your eyes, or make you look like a raccoon. These effects are much less significant if you use a GOOD brand of stick eyeliner, such as Urban Decay, which is what I use on a daily basis in all seasons. It stays put pretty well even on my four-hour dance nights.
Black eyeliner looks good on everyone and matches anything. I use Urban Decay liner in Zero every day, often putting colors such as Covet on my top lids. I also find I can get by with cheaper, less-quality eyeliner on top because it doesn't smudge.
Stick eye-liner...liquid is too messy...Black or gray/black
Black is a good color for you. And i sugest a stick eyeliner. Good luck. ;]
well i use liquid on top and stick on bottom. stick can help u get a real smokey look and liquid is to apply very close to ur eyelash line and pull it out to make your eyes have a sultry shape. best liquid eyeliner is by n.y.c in black. love it beceause their applicator brush is thin and its very cheap. :)
Stick eye liner becaz liquid smudges and doesnt give you a perfectly a straight line
stick is much better. liquid is so hard to apply and it comes off fast and smears. i would say maybe a dark brown or dark plum purple. black is always good too. maybe a creamy white for accents.

I heard Avon has a really good pencil eyeliner. I currently use NYC, I just switched from Wet N Wild because I didn't really like Wet N Wild. It was very hard to get it on your eye because it didn't write on dark. When I switched to NYC, I liked it much better. NYC writes it on dark and it lasts longer too. What is good brand for eye liner ( pencil or liquid )?

.Which is better: liquid or crayon eye-liner.?
....Which is better: liquid or crayon eye-liner.?
Liquid Eyeliner is better for the top eyelid
and crayon for the bottom eye
my experience :).Which is better: liquid or crayon eye-liner.?
It depends on what you want to do. For a staying, more definite line use liquid liner.
If you're looking to create a smoky eye, or to have a light application, or you just want to smudge it up and be all sexy-like, crayon is good too. Sometimes I use crayon to tightline and liquid liner on top.
they both gud in their own way..
i wear both... it realy does depend on my mood sumtimes when am in rush or somethin i use pencil liner because it quicker to apply and also gives a subtle look nt to drastic and liquid liner u need to take ur time if u want a nice sleek line... i usually do the winged look bcz i have small eyes and both giv me gud results...
problem with crayon is kinda smudges which is nt so gud liquid does last long so prefer liquid...:D
you should try both on your eyes! i love the effect of the liquid but it makes me look really mean-which is why i only use it at night outs with the girls.
the crayon type is what i use for everyday outings and school...its really easy to put on and take off too!
:)
Liquid...I always wear liquid.
I always find crayon not as bold looking as liquid, and liquid stays on a hell of alot longer.
GEL!
I have macs gel eyeliner and i lOVE it.
Just make sure you have a good brush and you are good to go.
It is really easy to apply and stays on alllll day!
Liquid is easier to apply but crayon is easier to remove
they both sux and r both messy so use the retractable eyeliner, the one you never have to sharpen
crayon.
liquid is messy and goes every where
you have a lot more control with crayon.
Liquid liner works the best but if you want a nice perfect line use crayon eye liner
liquid, it's easier to put on.
crayon is less messy and runs less than liquid when you sweat or get watery eyes
liquid is more bold and crayon is more dull so its up to you
Neither, I like gel eyeliner =]
you should use the quick liner its really good.

Liquid eye-liner?!?!?!?
Ok I have some questions about liquid eye-liner..
1. How do you use it?
2. Can you put it on your lower, inner eyelid?
3. Is it safe to use if you wear contact lenses?
Because I tried it and it all went it my eye and I figured I should have asked before I tried...Liquid eye-liner?!?!?!?
Liquid liner takes a lot of practice. I'm pretty sure it's fine for contact lenses; my cousin wears contacts and liquid eyeliner every day!
As for how to put it on, it REALLY takes practice. When I started to wear it, I had the same problem. It went all in my eye. And I know that some people can apply it without closing their eye, but I need to. So, try closing your eye and pulling the lid across (does that make sense?) so that you can make an even line. How much you use depends on the look you're going for. Personally, I use more towards the outside of my eyelid; from inner to outer, it goes up like a hill.
If you find it hard to get it in the inner eyelid (and it is hard, believe me), you can use just regular liner to touch that up.
And remember that Q-Tips are your friend! Wet and dry are key for fixing any mistakes. Liquid eye-liner?!?!?!?
When it comes to wearing shadow with this look, it's usually a good idea to keep its colour soft and neutral. Try using a light cream shadow all over the lid and a warmer taupe in the crease. Your eyes will have warmth and definition without looking overdone.
The right tool is essential in achieving the heavily lined look. For liquid liner you want to use a point liner brush. This tiny, precision brush will allow you to draw a clean, even line. Many women close their eyes when applying liner, which leads to a bumpy uneven line. Instead, keep your eye open. This will make it easier to follow the contour of your lashline.
When using liner don't feel like you have to paint one continuous line. One easy technique involves drawing three dashes - one at the inner corner, one in the middle of the lash line and another at the outer corner. Then, go back and connect the dashes. For the thick Audrey Hepburn look, fill in your liner slowly. After you've established a clean base line, start the brush at the middle of your lashes and slowly build up the outer line, extending the liner slightly out and just beyond the eye.
If i were first trying it i would only use it on the top until you got the hang out it. I wear contact lenses and i like it because it doesn't smear underneath my eyes although flakes of it sometimes get in my eyes but i cant even feel it if they do.
I have used liquid liners for years, they take practice. But I mainly use it on my upper lid. it can be used under your eye, but your inner lid it doesnt work as well. Try correcting your liquid eyeliner mistakes with a wet Q-tip, thats how i used to do it.

Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
How do i apply liquid eye liner with out any smudge..I feel it v.difficult to apply by myself. Using eye pencil is very painful since i need to press a bit harder..Any tips????????/Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
get either a soft eye pencil (the kind that you ';roll'; up are usually soft, but you can also find the kind you sharpen in soft, just make sure they SAY soft), or for liquid, try this:
pull the liquid applicator out of the bottle of liner and rub the excess on the sides. then kind of pull your eye to the side so the skin is very taut. then you shouldn't have enough excess to smear everywhere, and the taut eyelid will give you better control with your line.Liquid eyeliner-I ma not getting the flow of applying eye liner?
get the eye liner embroidery done.it solve all your eye liner woes.it's semi permanent and you'll looked great 24/7
Try Almay. It's easy to handle. Has the sponge tip with a fine point. It also grips naturally. Practice.

1ST, DONT USE EYEPENCIL IF U HAVE TO PRESS HARD AS IT WRINKELS THE SKIN!
AFTER APPLYING LIQUID EYELINER, JUST BLUR THE EDGES WITH A WET COTTON BUD OR A LITTLE BIT OF EYESHADE AT THE TIP OF A BRUSH
I hope you're only using liquid liner to line the top of your lid (above the lash line) or under your lower lash line. I don't see how it could smudge (unless you mean not coming out straight, which I will then tell you the only way is to practice) when applying it, unless you're using it in the water line which is not what it's intended purpose is for, for that you use a gel or pencil liner.
I love liquid eyeliner! I use it everyday! I found that pencil eyeliners aren't as dramatic and don't last as long. Try getting a liquid eyeliner that has a sponge tip, the brush tips can be hard to use. Maybelline and loreal make great ones that aren't as pricey as the department stores. I personally like Lancome's Artliner in black. Anyways...the key is to take your time! Try to lean against something or rest your arm on the faucet and stay close to the mirror. Keep your eye open and dot the liner as close to the lash line as you can, then gently go across the dotted line. The lighter the pressure the thinner the line will be. It just takes practice and a technique you are comfortable with. Good luck!

Long lasting non-liquid (i.e. solid) eye liner?
I always have a problem with my eye liner (pencil, and ';twist-stick';). When I put it on, it looks great, but it ALWAYS goes away [or migrates downwards, from my lower lid (eye rim)]. I apply eyeliner to my lower lid/eye rim mainly. Do you know of any eyeliner (black) that stays put for long (like hopefully at least 5 or 6 hrs?).
Here are 2 of the one's I have used, which have not worked for me: ULTA eyeliner (the one that came in the holiday blockbuster set), CoverGirl Outlast (twist-stick kind)
I'm kind of looking for something less than 6 or 7 dollars. (sorry MAC, I am a poor student and one day hope to afford you)
Thanks a million for all your help.Long lasting non-liquid (i.e. solid) eye liner?
first of all, put on a primer below your eye line (or foundation if u can't get primer)
then i would buy almay liquid eyeliner, it works like a dream for me and lasts the whole school day w/out smudging downwards.
It's really cheap too, i don't remember the exact price, but it;s somthing like 4 bucks or less.Long lasting non-liquid (i.e. solid) eye liner?
If you are applying the eyeliner to your lower inner rim, then nothing is going to stay all day. Your eyes are constantly creating tears to lubricate the eye and everytime you blink the eyeliner is being slowly washed away. If you apply foundation primer under your eye, the liner will stay better under your eyelid, if that's where you apply it.
If you can afford 8.99 try Lo'real Hip cream liner...Its exactly what ur looking for...it doesn't smudge and it lasts all day. It should be applied with a eyeliner brush which you can get for a couple bucks from any CVS OR WALGREENS
If you're not sure about it, go to http://www.makeupalley.com and read reviews on it..and any other products you may want to try.

Can liquid eye liner go on like eyeliner?
Make sure you have a steady hand, it hurts when it gets in your eye. The first time I used it, the liquid spread all through my eye and I had to rinse it out.Can liquid eye liner go on like eyeliner?
you really only should put it on the top lid b/c it is a lot more dramatic and heavier than pencil eyeliner. if u still want eyeliner on the bottom then you should find a pencil eyeliner that matches and just use that on the bottom lid.Can liquid eye liner go on like eyeliner?
Yes, eyeliner generally goes on like eyeliner..
Well, that is the point of liquid eye liner..
It just has a darker and smoother look to it.
yes :P
but if you get it in your eyes it might sting a little bit. or atleast the liquid eyeliner i use does.
liquid is for the top lash penicl is for the bottom but u can use it at the top 2
what she said^^^^^^

What eye liner is better? Pencil, liquid, or gel?
Liquid liners are better when it comes to defining the eyes, but I do not like to wear them because they are too messy. The experts believe that before using liquid liners, you should use a pencil liner and then use the liquid liner on top so that you can create the right shape. MAC gel liner is known for being the best liner however because it stays on and does a great job in defining the eyes. What eye liner is better? Pencil, liquid, or gel?
i use those crayon-alike. its similiar to lipstick. like you turn the thing, and the lipstick comes up. roughly you get what i mean? so i dont have to sharpen it. it works quite well for me. i would wish to try liquid eye liner anyway. What eye liner is better? Pencil, liquid, or gel?
pencil because it is easier to put on
I use liquid too, on the top eye lid, above the lashes. It makes the lashes look thicker and gives you that vintage movie star look. Use pencil for the rest
Pencil or the twist-up kind is good for speedy everyday application. It's also easier to smudge or wipe off if you mess up. Gels and liquids are fantastic for dressy occasions -- they really give that little something ';extra.';
I use liquid. It's a little hard to learn how to use it at first but the results are excellent.
liquid on the top of the lashes, pencil on the bottom .... perfect x
well pencil is what i use it is the easiest and stays on just fine.
cream based eyeliners
liquid is good if you're going for a very dramatic and precise look (don't smudge it!)...pencil is good to be smudged so you look all smokey...never tried gel...
My favourites are the MAC gel liner pots - blacktrack sees a lot of use from me. I like to apply it with a very sharply cut synthetic angle liner brush, and i apply below my upper lashes and it stays all day. Pencils always bleed and make yukky black sleepy, and liquids can crack. They all have their place though - and I have had good results with wet eyeshadow. Another product I liked was the Max Factor felt tip black liner pen - it doesnt last long though.
If you are lining the inside of your eye I cannot recommend the MAC gels highly enough. Outside your eye others work well.
Its all down to preference of application really!

Liquid eyeliner or pencil eye liner?which is better and why?
liquid eyeliner -
pros : stays there for a long time and doesnt smudge, leak or smear,
you get a defined precise line
easier to apply
cons : once you screw up it takes alot to fix it.
more expensive
you dont get the smudy smokey look,
thin lined, like, it looks like you took a marker and put it on your eyes .
i think its more difficult to use if you're just getting used to eyeliner.
pencil eyeliner -
pros : comes in about 48543 colors and textures.
easy to smudge to make different effects,
comes in waterproof so if you do smudge it doesnt leak all over your face.
easier to use, or correct.
cheaper !
cons : most pencils smudge or leak alot quicker or easier.
sharpening is constantly annoying.
the wood can sometime poke at your eye.
if you dont get a good eyeliner, it can pull at your skin if its too hard.
takes a while to find the perfect pencil for you.
i prefer pencil over liquid any day. but whatever floats your boat.
bonne bell, almay, cover girl, mac, new york color make pretty good eyeliners !Liquid eyeliner or pencil eye liner?which is better and why?
liquid eyeliner on the top of the lash line as it is more bolder effective n less likely 2 smudge and pencil in the inner n outter 4 smoky effect so ya can smudge it!! rimmel liquid eyeliner is gr8 i swear by it n borjouis eyepencil black at 1 end white on other!!Liquid eyeliner or pencil eye liner?which is better and why?

Do you like liquid or pencil eye liner?
Pencil eye liner all the way.
Cuss one time I was at a store, and I saw some eye liner.I was like ';eh.I'll try it';
and bad idea.I didn't really know how to use it all that well I guess.
Pencil eye liner. I've never used liquid one.
both..
when i wanna go more dramatic
liquid
but daily
pencil
Pencil
It's SO much easier to apply
liquid
I wouldn't know, I don't use it.
liquid, or powder with one of those cool angled brush! =)
pencil feels like im stabbing my eye. lol
I preffer pencil!

PENCIL !!! i hate liquid eye liner, the same thing happened to me, except my eye wasn't entirely black, Thank God ! pencil is so much better and liquid gets smudged real easily
pencil because I always wear eyeliner on my water line and it is not good to wear liquid on the water line.
Pencil eye liner. I've never used liquid one.
both..
when i wanna go more dramatic
liquid
but daily
pencil
Pencil
It's SO much easier to apply
liquid
I wouldn't know, I don't use it.
liquid, or powder with one of those cool angled brush! =)
pencil feels like im stabbing my eye. lol
I preffer pencil!

What a better eye liner pencils, liquid or pencil?
powder. What a better eye liner pencils, liquid or pencil?
pencils..........way better estee lauder believe me it works crazy smoothWhat a better eye liner pencils, liquid or pencil?
they both have there ood and bad points.. liquid is harder to put on and make a straight line, plus it flakes off sometinmes... but it looks nice if u do it rite. Pencil is easier to apply, but sometimes it smears. I wear pencil personally.
While liquid stays on better, if you mess up at all it won;t come off. And liquid eyeliner is extremely hard to control while applying. I opnly know one person who can do it perfectly, and she's an an art major.
Each one has its perks.
I find liquid liner makes a very nice, dramatic and defined line.
Powder for me is easier to control, is softer, and more natural looking.
Pencil is really good for smudging and making that nice smokey look.
i use pencil!!! liquid berns
liquid looks better, pencil is easier to use
eye liner pencils. get mac eye kohl or estee lauder pencil.
pencil
I prefer pencil
I think that liquid is better !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pencils as long as it is Kohl based,, they go on smoother,, the cheap ones don't
i personally think using pencil ofr like everyday use would be good but liquid is really heavy so i sasy pencil or maybe the powder type
It depends what you like. A liquid liner will last forever, but it is hard to apply. You have to be really precise. I personally prefer a pencil which I can smudge with my fingers. There are some really good pencils (MAC), which last a long time.
I like both.
It depends, if you want your eyeliner to last for a long time go with liquid, but for an every day use I would go with pencil, it is not that harmful to your skin.
I have found that using dark eye shadow to line the eyes works best. Just make sure you apply it thinly like you would with a pencil. It is easier to apply and easier to wash off. Also good for smudging, if you want that look.
Try the maybelline Unstoppable , which i personally love is a retractable pencil that last and last all day , liquid is great but i rather waterproof but you need practice that i dont know if you have , then i discover this im telling you about and i love the fact that you dont have to sharpen and that comes on my favorites colors.
Hi :) I'm a makeup artist, and I've found that it is better to use an angle brush and a dark eyeshadow to line the eyes. You can find an angle brush anywhere, but I have Mac brushes and I love them! Pencils can be harder to blend, and the lines often look harsh. By using an eyeshadow and angle brush, you'll get a much softer look. Use the brush the same way you would use an eye pencil, just line the eye and blend a little. Hope that helps! :)
I prefer to use a good powder with an angle brush. I use MAC Carbon, which is a dark black eyeshadow, and a small angle brush which I wet slightly before touching it to the powder. It makes a clean line on the eyelid that stays all day.
It depends pretty much on the effect you want to achieve.. pencils are more casual and natural, and liquid is for a more dramatic look. Both are tricky to apply without practice, but if you try a few times you will do it very well.. for an everyday look, apply pencil liner (or also you can easily use wet eyeshadow with an angled brush) on your upper lids, as close as you can to lash line, starting about 1/3 towards outer corner, and on your lower lid your eyes will look huge if you just line from the outer corner to about past the half (towards inner corner)... if you decided to use pencil, y can soften the excess color with a swab (to avoid harsh lines that will look kinda xtreme).. liquid liner is trickier, but with a little bit of practice you can do it.. ok.. start with your left eye from outer to inner corner.. and then start with your right eye's inner corner to the outer... got it? .... what I use most on my clients is wet shadow with a firm bristle-angled brush.. I do it because lasts longer. Regarding the color, you can experiment and take pictures and find out what works better for your outfit, mood and skin/eye/hair combination (Foolproof: dark brown..black)... Note** Lining as close as possible to lash lines will make your lashes look fuller... and never vear liner without at least 1 coat of mascara, or you will end up looking undone....:)
It really depends on the climate you're in and what works best with that weather. Personally for long last I use a cream or gel liner with an angle brush -I like Stila or SmashBox.

Which brand of eyeliner doesn鈥檛 wear off or smudge and which works better liquid or penicil eye liner?
U kno...it really depends on your skin tone and complexion. I have skin that gets kinda oily throughout the day and all pencil liners smudge off and i end up looking like a racoon or worse. So i love liquid eyeliner. I use Revlon. Also u can create a much finer line than with a pencil but u do need a steady hand! I love applying make up and ive done it for yrs so it doesnt take me much time at all but u may need to practice. Also, as far as complexion, darker skintones (such as mine) work really well with liquid because u get a darker more defined line. Lighter complexions may work better with pencil because you get a fainter line, unless you like a dramatic eye look then go for it!!!!Which brand of eyeliner doesn鈥檛 wear off or smudge and which works better liquid or penicil eye liner?
Aloette has a powder eyeliner that is to die for! You can apply it dry for a more smokey look or wet the brush for a more defined look. It stays on all day even if u sweat, get your face wet, or rub your eyes.Which brand of eyeliner doesn鈥檛 wear off or smudge and which works better liquid or penicil eye liner?
well its hard for me to make a perfect line with a liquid , so what i do is use a pencil eyeliner first and then i use the liquid eyeliner i like the maybelline liquid one the waterproof one but yea that works for me! hope it helps
I love pencil eyeliner. I find it to wear better and longer, and it looks more subtle鈥?my favorite is L鈥橭real ColorStay in Ebony Black鈥 find that to be the best long-wearing eyeliner鈥?I have been to the beach with it also and it never wore off
i love liquid eyeliner. you can go with a dramatic look or just a day at the office. i use mary kay's liquid eyeliner...and its on all day. great stuff! speaking of they have got the best mascara ever!! if you need help finding a rep i can help you!
I've used both...and I prefer pencil. I used Clinique and Mary Kay.
I like both pencil and liquid - it just depends on what kind of look you're going for. Pencil will look much more natural, and will blend better with your eyeshadow. I like the Ulta pencils - they stay on all day.
OMG! ';Delux beauty'; from sephora works really good and stays on even if you cry or swim it's that good ! and pencil always works best!
Revelon Colorstay Liquid is the best for the top and pencil for the bottom.
I like Almay liquid liner and Clinique brush-on cream liner. Liquid can be tricky at first, but these two types are really easy to control.

Which eye liner should be used for Marylin Monroe alike make up: Liquid one or just regular pencil eye liner?
And should I use eye shadows too?Which eye liner should be used for Marylin Monroe alike make up: Liquid one or just regular pencil eye liner?
yeah
u dont need eye shadow ever.
i think liquid is better to stay,,but any way both are goodWhich eye liner should be used for Marylin Monroe alike make up: Liquid one or just regular pencil eye liner?
Straight liquid liner is a BIT too harsh, but you want the precise, yet creamy color.
To this, get a liner shadow / shadow liner from bareMinerals (or anywhere else; but they have the best ones) and create a paste in the lid with a drop of water. Mix with an angled liner brush and apply.
You should probably use only an eyeshadow base, and possibly a deeper color to contour.
liquid eyeliner!
line the lash line with black liquid liner sloping downward. once the liner has dried. false strip lashes are glued right on natural lashes. for this look , strip lashes are pushed down at the ends while drying for that sleepy eye look. apply black mascara to top and bottom lashes.medium brown powder eyeshadow is applied to the crease of the eyelid and blended well. then white frosted powder eyeshadow is blended onto the lid and browbone, sweeping outward and downward. using a thing eyeshadow brush, draw a line under the eye, starting where the lashes begin. slide the brush away from the inner eye, sloping downward past outer lashes. rosey pink powder blush is swept onto cheeks with a brush.lips are lined in a red flesh-toned lip pencil, then filled in. follow with true red lip color, blot, re-apply, and blot again. follow with clear red gloss in the center of bottom lip, using your fingertip or for more accuracy a lip brush. as a final touch, use a black pencil or liquid liner to make a beauty mark on the cheek.
there's the whole thing!
Yes, Liquid. It gives a more precise elegant look. Although if you are not to good with liquid draw the line on with pencil as a template then go over with liquid.phone

When should you throw out foundation (powder or liquid) and eye shadow and liner?
First off, if it smells, stinks, has a distinct odor that should not be, throw it away! I am amazed at how long women will keep cosmetics that have a bad odor. Do yourself a favor and trash it.
Another good rule of thumb, if you can't remember when you purchased it, trash it. Makeup should not stir up memories from ten years ago. If your makeup bag does, throw it out!
Oil-Free Foundation: 1 year
Cream or Compact Foundation: 18 months
Concealer: 12-18 months
Powder: 2 years

Liquid eyeliner: 3-6 months

Lipstick: 2 years

If you are using natural cosmetics, these should be thrown out sooner. Regular cosmetics contain ingredients that do help prolong shelf life. But of course natural cosmetics do not. Please check with your favorite natural store for the information on the cosmetics you love.
My favorite tip to make throwing out your cosmetics a little easier: Buy yourself a Sharpie to keep with your makeup bag. Write your own expiration date on the cosmetics that way you will always know when it is time to replace. When should you throw out foundation (powder or liquid) and eye shadow and liner?
To tell you the truth, I usually don't ever have to throw it away but If i noticed the consistency changing in my liquid foundation I would throw it out. Be sure to keep your makeup clean by using fresh brushes and keeping the lids on them and never share your make-up. I know there is a limit on especially liquid make-up but I don't know what that is. I use mine up in plenty of time and when I buy blushes and eyeshows, they always say that will last you for a long time, so I don't throw them away. When should you throw out foundation (powder or liquid) and eye shadow and liner?
For foundation; you shouldn't keep it longer than 6 months (Water-based formulas last a few weeks longer than oil-based ones)
Eyeliner; also 6 months (bacteria can grow around the tip)
Eye-shadow; 9-12 months (old shadows get chalky and difficult to apply.)
eye shadow- doesnt really turn old. but if it was like your moms from a while, like 5-10 or more years. be careful, it could possibly have a reaction on your skin.
foundation- liquid..when it turns colors like a more yellowee color.....and usually it comes in lil bottles so you can just wait untill your out. or if there is like a 'never ending supply' then throw it away when it starts not blending as well.
powder foundation- something thats good quality like anything from MAC or BARE MINERALS will last you a while. maybe around 3-5 years, but usually by then you will like to buy something new, or order a new formula..
liner, if it liquid, when ever it looks clumpy and looks something like a paste. throw it out!!!
** a lot of the times you will know to your own judgement. so if your bored of it or it doesnt feel or loook the same, theres a hint to give it awy.

I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher & lipstick & mascara, but for New Years Eve.
is there a different look anyone could recommend? want to look extra special, before i put make up on, i use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. is there anything you can think of that i could change to look different but gorgeous for this special night? i have shoulder length hair and am a dark brunette with quite pale skin and blue/grey eyes.I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher %26amp; lipstick %26amp; mascara, but for New Years Eve.
Let's not just focus on the top half, focus on the whole you.
I have to say I think when someone has a tan they look healthy and radiant. So i would start by exfolating and removing unwanted hair and moisturising on the 29th, (if shaving though make it the 30th) it's best to exfoliate and moisturise the day before applying tanning products. Then on the night of the 30th, a few hours before bed time apply your chosen tanning product. Fake Bake and St Tropez are probably the best and easiest at the mo. Ensure you have applied the tanning product all over, get a friend to help with the difficult to reach places (you could do each others). To avoid streaky elbows, feet and knees apply these areas with some moisturiser. Leave to dry and go to bed with it still on. (prob best if you put a towel down on the bed as it does stain.)
Morning of the 31st - The tan has had time to develop, so now is the time to wash it off in the shower.
For Make-up - I would go for more dramatic make up. I also have dark brunette hair and greeny blue eyes. So if it was me I would apply my usual foundation, powder, bronzer/blusher. Theres no point changing the base as you already know it works. If you feel the base is a little light compared to the bronzed body a slightly darker powder does the trick.
I would make eyes dramatic and lips neutral, so maybe smoky eyes, use a light silver/grey, a charcoal/black and a shimmery white highlighter. Apply the lighter colour all over the eye lid right up to the brow. Apply the darker colour at the edges and blend up and in towards the centre using the crease of the eye as a guide. Then finally apply the shimmery white just below the eyebrow to highlight them. Ensure both eyes are even and brows are well groomed.
Line eyes with black eyeliner and dab some of the shimmery white eyeshadow in the inner corners of the eyes. Curl eyelashes and apply lashings of mascara.
Opt for a sheer gloss for lips, peachy pinks are best.
Hair - I'm unsure of the style you have whether it is layered or a long bob etc. Sweeping fringes always add an element of softness to the face. Avoid middle partings as this may make the look to harsh, side partings are best for softness. If it is long enough maybe some soft curls would be nice. Set in rollers then finish with curling tongs.
Finish off the look with pretty jewellery. I love diamond or cz studs with a matching necklace and braclet.
Just before putting on outfit, rub on some Body Shops Shea Butter for Body, this complements the tan, gives it a glowing shimmery glossed look.
Good luck and enjoy the night.I normally wear liquid foundation, eye liner, eye shadow, blusher %26amp; lipstick %26amp; mascara, but for New Years Eve.
try smokey eyes and a more clean look... try to attract attention to your eyes... use a little bronzer and natural lip gloss
i would go for a smoky eye, dewy cheeks, and a killer hot lipstick....go for a dramatic look (that is guessing thats not how you do your make up like that everyday)
Have you seen the benefit make up range? They do a great bronze tint that you mix with high beam to give a gorgeous bronzed illuminated look to your cheekbones - think J-Lo....
Go without eyeshadow, just liquid eyeliner and lot's of mascara for a 60's inspired look
focus everything on your eyes. make a smokey eye look using different shades of bronze/gold/brown (lay off the black and gray colors). When you put on the mascara, pull the brush away towards the side of your head, so instead of looking straight like this
|| they will look like this \\\\\. to give it a more angled look, more dramatic. then do eyeliner 3/4 of the way on your eye instead of your whole eye lid. but if you already put it just 3/4 of the way, line your whole lid. use a peach satin blush, like the one from maybelline (its the dream mousse one). use a clear lip gloss and your good to go!!!!
I would say to go to a cosmetic store and ask for a free consultation.
Highlighter used on top of your cheek bones and edges of eyes under brow. The Body Shop do a great one. It really brightens up your face. Maybe you could try different coloured lipstick (use gloss on top) or eyeshadow for a varying look? Good luck and I'm sure you'll look great!!
Very short skirt would be great, they won't be looking at the makeup.
I'll try.
You sound up to date so you probably know to use slightly warmer than lukewarm water to open your pores before cleansing and after cleaning, cooling the skin down and shrinking them again?
(That's just a tip, not advice).
The day before, put some of your regular cleanser in your palm and add some sugar. GENTLY cleanse your face in circular motions and rinse well. This will exfoliate and remove all old and dead skin cells. I wouldn't recommend using toner straight after the exfoliation but, moisturise!
Try to get your hands on some face pearls as they give your cheeks and brow a healthy glow.
If you want to try receive it in time (who knows whether you will), www.avonshop.com (AVON) sells a product called 'Shimmer Swirls Face Illuminator' or try your local market for something similar - it will help you to look radiant!
Use minimal make-up - ALWAYS. Skip the liner and use some eyeshadow contrasting to the colour of your eyes. My favourite for blue eyes is a twin darkish line on the upper lid of brown shadow, followed by a lighter tone or even better, a bright cream colour. But, that would depend on what you're wearing. You might want to have a go at a peachy colour too (depending on your exact haircolour).
Always make up either your lips or eyes with a decent amount of make-up (not over-made) but not both at the same time - that's 80s and at this stage, slutty.
So, either do your eyes up and use a light gloss on your lips or wear minimal make-up on your eyes and make sure your lips are noticed.
Hope that helps.
Happy New Year!

Which one is better eye liner pencil or eye liquid?
It really depends on how you would want to put the eyeliner on. Do you want it on the top lid or bottom lid? Do you want it simple, clean and defined? Or do you prefer it looking smoky and suttle?
I use liquid eyeliner, and it's actually hard to use at first. Took me long to put it on properly. I'm pro now tho, lol. But if you practice and finally get it right, it looks awesome! Its a lot LESS messy, it stays put and it's really simple. It's famous for the ';Cat Eye';. *Don't use liquid on the bottom lid, only on the top lid. You kind of have to be a pro to use it on the bottom, because it's really common for the liquid to seep into your eyes when used on the bottom! It can hurt. So top lid only k! BTW you can make it thick or thinner. Thicker for a bold look.

I use pencil on my bottom liner though. It's A LOT easier to put on, but it smudges easily.. it's more messy. But some people prefer it that way to acheive the ';Smokey Eye'; affect. (Which it's famous for!)

If you're going to buy the pencil, get one that says its smudge proof! Get a waterproof one. Trust me, even though they're more expensive, its wayyyyyyyy more worth it.Which one is better eye liner pencil or eye liquid?
pencil is definately easier, but if your trying to get that cat eye look, dont even bother with liquid! way too hard unless you're a pro. TRY: MAC gel pot in blacktrack with their slanted applicator brush (both for around $30) soooo easy to use and stays on all day. you can also use the pencil for the inner rims or as a guide under the gel pot liner. remember PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!Which one is better eye liner pencil or eye liquid?
It's really a personal choice. I personally and professionally prefer pencil liners. They are more moisturizing for your skin and if you use a good one, easy to apply. I use Arbonne's line of pencils. They come in a variety of colors that I love.
Liquid liner for the lid of the eye to create a slick outline , never use it on the bottom it always look too severe !!
Use a pencil eyeliner to line the bottom of your eye , smudge it in with a cotton bud to give a softer look.
i prefer the pencil b cuz the liquid if you mess up and smear it of your eyelid it gets in your even though its eay to get out i still prefer the pencil
I use pencil on my inner eye lids then draw a thin line with the liquid over my eye lids (when I have time) but I mostly just use the pencil because it's quicker and easier.
I like pensil because it's easier to put on, but the down side is it smears more easily. Liquid flakes off, but it doesn't smear.
definitely eye pencil.. i use mac engraved pencil liner.. it looks good and dont smudge..
Depends on the effect you want. HOwever, I prefer pencil, its just easier to use and less messy.
I HAVE PENCILS, AND THEY KINDA HURT BUT ITS A WORTH IT. IVE NEVER TRIED EYE LIQUID. I RECOMMEND THE PENCIL.
the eye pencil because the eye liquid would get in your eyes and it's too messy to dealt with......
ive always used pencil,
but if you wanted it on your eyelid, liquid would look better
pencil. but it should be soft so it goes on smoothly and dosn't hurt. Benefit do good ones.
pencil as liquid is harmful
pencils are definitely better!! %26lt;3

Does any1 know good ways of applying liquid liner& can i use it at the bottom of my eye?
Can i apply liquid liner on the bottom part of my eye.. where Pencil liner usually goes?
And can i use liquid AND Pencil at the bottom?
and if so wat ARE SOME GOOD TECHINEQUES TO APPLY IT??
PLZE DONT SUGGEST IF U DONTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT KNOW THE ANSWER
I NEED PPL WHO DO KNOW THE ANSWER THANK U!Does any1 know good ways of applying liquid liner%26amp; can i use it at the bottom of my eye?
get an eyeliner pencil with a spongy tip on the end and use that to blend or smear the eyeliner where u want it. yes u can wear it under your eyes.just use some that does not smear. if u want to wear some above your bottom eyelashes, the brand ';rimmel'; (walmart) goes on very easily. hope that helps. i can't live without my eyeliner!Does any1 know good ways of applying liquid liner%26amp; can i use it at the bottom of my eye?
i usually wipe access liquid on the side of the container before applying it that way it wont run, yep you can wear on the bottom
Please visit my website it has eye techinques that will help you with all of your eye needs. I am a Mary Kay senior consultant and I really think that it would help you to have a look. Best wishes!!
the same way you put on regular pencil liner, and yes you can put it on the bottom of your eyes!! it looks good too!!! hope i was of help!
DONT YOU EVER put liquid eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes
if you put it close, it will fall in and burn and sting your eyeballs
too far and it will make you look like a dog
just use a pencil for your bottom lash line
The best thing to do is set aside a day to sit in front of your bathroom mirror and practice practice practice. I always had the hardest time putting on liquid liner on my lids. The trick that really works for me is to place a finger at the end of your eye and lightly pull down and back so that your lashes are out of the way. Then(be careful not to put too much!) swipe the liquid liner across your lid. I don't like liquid liner on the bottom of my eyes, it tends to make the eye look smaller, but it looks good on some people, so try it both ways to see what you like best.
I would stick to one or the other...not both on the top, but a pencil at the bottom.. the best way to apply liquid liner is by using a fine tip angled brush and follow your lash line as close as possible. You should try the cream liner bye MAC... it's really easy to use with a brush and come in really cool colors. IF you are doing the bottom also... stay close to your lower lash line but it would probably be easier with a pencil..
I wouldn't recommend liquid eyeliner for your bottom eyelid because if your not careful you could get it in your eye and.. well OUCH! To apply a ';stick'; of eyeliner you can pull down the eyelid and apply like that. Just be sure you are paying attention otherwise you can poke yourself in the eye with it and it does not feel good!
you put it on both top and bottom.
Steady hand, fix with a Q-tip when you mess up. Liquid liner on the bottom is trashy--you can smudge a pencil and make it look more faded and classy.

How do i line to top part of my eye lid with liquid liner without smudges?
don't listen to the girl who says not to use liquid. i only do my top lid and i only use liquid and it looks great
what i do is i close my eye, pull on the outward tip of my lid (so it stretches it out), hold it there, and then apply the eyeliner (starting from inward, next to the nose). steadily.
maybelline's waterproof liquid eyeliner lasts a long time, you should try that if the problem is your eyeliner
oh, and use q-tips to fix up mistakes :DHow do i line to top part of my eye lid with liquid liner without smudges?
i heard that ';connect the dots'; works quite well.
that is when you draw dots along the lash line
(about 4 total) and then connect each one. ;DHow do i line to top part of my eye lid with liquid liner without smudges?
make sure all the hairs of the brush are stuck together, relax while applying. also apply frequently it in your free time. this will help your hand get use to it. then you'll be an expert
Don't stop your liner when you make a mistake or something. just let it flow, if you mess up, wash your face and re do. Try not to focus too much on getting it right but instead, just let your hand glide along the line of your eyelashes.
Practice and more practice. Do you pull your eyelid to the side? Like me Chinese.... You know what I mean. It is easier for me to do it that way if you have any extra skin there. Also you can put it right next to your eyelashes. There is also a makeup eraser. Just do your thing with eyeliner, then erase mistakes, just be careful or you can erase it all. Good luck.
my favorite tip for making sharp lines with eyeliner is this: dont worry about making a mess, just put it on, then take a qtip, moisten tip with your tongue and sharpen the line to exactly the thickness and sharpness you like. Works well with liquid or stick liner...
I love make-up and one day I hope to become a make-up artist so try this:
Slant your eye by slightly pulling back (kind of like Chinese, Japanese eyes) and apply the liquid eyeliner near the lashes with one continuous line and then if there are any bits that need some touching up use a moistened q-tip with water or eye make-up remover.
It works wonders for me.
Goodluck! :)
I have just discovered cream eyeliner. It is the best. You get the look of liquid with out all the mess. You can also make your own by taking an eyeliner pencil and heating it with a lighter. You can buy the brush that you use to put it on with at Walmart of Target. As for the liquid eyeliner pull the lid tight and apply fan dry with hand or book or whatever before you blink or move. Good luck
apply ur liquid eyeliner as you would.. dont try to make it perfect.. dont worry bout smudges or anything. let it dry. then.. take a q-tip. get it wet.. and remove the smudged parts. it will make the line look crisp and sexy!
It takes a steady hand and practice. To steady your hand, rest your little finger on the side of your nose just below the eye area -where it is most comfortable for you.
Good luck
very steady hand you need i my self use the pencil. works better for me.
dont use liquid, use the pencil kind..it doesnt smudge
Close the eye and pull the outside corner of the eye so that the lid is stretched and tight (keep it shut).. This makes it super easy to put liquid liner on. And once it's on, keep your eye closed and blast it with a hair dryer for a few seconds so that the liner will dry quicklyphone

What is a good liquid eye liner?
I'm looking for a black liquid eyeliner which is easy to use, not too thick liquid, and now too hard to wash off.
I bought MAC the other week and it's ok... it's kind of hard to apply, thick liquid, and REALLY hard to remove....
I apply it to the upper eye lid. think across my lid and then it extend a little by my edge of my eyes...
HELP! :)
it looks like this:

If I were you, I wouldn't bother using any eyeliner.
I don't find it at all attractive. Just use a little eyeshadow, that looks much nicer.

What is the best liquid black eye liner to use? and is it cheapish? i'm poor!!! =)?
i need to find an eye liner that is black won't run and i can afford! lolWhat is the best liquid black eye liner to use? and is it cheapish? i'm poor!!! =)?
You can actually find higher end cosmetics on eBay--just be sure to check the sellers feedback to make sure you're not getting a shelf pulled item. My favorite liquid is Lola's liquid eyeliner. If you go to Sephora, they also have their own brand of makeup which is maybe $2 more than Revlon or Covergirl. And you know it's got to be good because they have to compete with the other brands in their stores. Either go to the store itself for a free makeover (helps when you're on a budget) or go to www.sephora.com to check out their products. What is the best liquid black eye liner to use? and is it cheapish? i'm poor!!! =)?
mark. has an amazing felt tip black liquid eye liner that works soo good. It's only $6 and you can get free shipping now (it's usually $5.95) if you go to http://www.cassie4mark.com and use coupon code eREPFS. It's worth it!
if your poor dont wear makeup if you cant afford it dont wear it!!!!!!!!
maybelline liquid black eyeliner. my mom uses it and it works great, and she won't buy anything really expensive! it's quite small, easy to find, in the maybelline section of course!
N.Y.C Liquid Eyeliner.
It's like 2.50 at Target.
I wear black liquid liner every day, and trust me, I've used every kind on the market. From every drugstore brand, to Department store, to every kind in Sephora. I highly recommend L'Oreal Line Intensifique Liquid Liner, which you can find in the L'Oreal section of any drugstore, walmart, or target. It's under 10 dollars, and trust me, it lasts all day. It doesn't smudge, or run, and dries fairly quickly. They have a regular black color, and they have Carbon Black, which is a more intense black, which is what I use.
This is what the eyeliner looks like-

And not only is it easy to put on, but the tip is felt like, so it doesn't make weird lines or get clumpy like some brush eyeliners do. And it's easy to get the thick, or thinness you like, without hassle.
Hope I helped!
In the mall there is this store called Amaze and they sell all colors of liquid eyeliner for under $4 and they have lots of different types of makeup.
You can actually find higher end cosmetics on eBay--just be sure to check the sellers feedback to make sure you're not getting a shelf pulled item. My favorite liquid is Lola's liquid eyeliner. I want to understand more about applying liquid eye-liner. I am wearing specs now. What should I do?
I personally do not like eyeliner. It makes your eyes look smaller. If you wear your glasses all the time, I would use a lots of mascara to make your eyes stand out behind the lenses.I want to understand more about applying liquid eye-liner. I am wearing specs now. What should I do?
i think u shouldn't wear liquid cra anywayI want to understand more about applying liquid eye-liner. I am wearing specs now. What should I do?
i love and live in eyeliner!! lol Liquid eyeliner rocks and it's not hard to put on... of course im not a pro b/c i had to learn myself but for your top eyelid... close the eye you are doing and pull that out to the side... keep the other eye open and get close to your mirror... steadily apply a think or thick brush stroke along the line of your lashes..... for the bottom eyelid.. pull down your lid and put a thin brush stroke just above your eyelashes... be careful about getting it into your eye... i wear contacts so im very used to my eyes i have to get some of the liquid out of them sometimes.. heh heh.... so be careful
And let it dry without squeezing your eyes shut or you will get it all over... once it's dry you can redo it a few times for darker and thicker liner all around =)

What is a really good liquid eye liner to use that i can buy from a local store like walmart?
im looking for a really good eyeliner that doesn't make it difficult for me to apply on straight, that is really black and not grey, and that doesn't smudge. I used maybelline ultra LIQUID eyeliner for many years, and I come to realize why I hated the way my eyes look with it.. after years of wearing it, i now know i cannot stand maybelline eye liner any longer..
i need a real good LIQUID eyeliner that i can wear that is also affordable.. any good ones that I can buy from walmart that is liquid form..by the way, im not a big fan of a hard tip-brush..What is a really good liquid eye liner to use that i can buy from a local store like walmart?
maybelline new york has pretty good ones,
but they are pricey.
Go to Sephora, all Loreal Paris, MAC, rimmel london.
are really good quality.
but sorry pricey $$$ tooWhat is a really good liquid eye liner to use that i can buy from a local store like walmart?
well i think Yves Saint Laurent makes the ebst one evr! However, it's like $55, so not really what you asked.
clinique has a good one called eye defining liquid liner, it's about $15.
Or go for Stila Liquid eyeliner,
these are all trustworthy brands, and the ones i chose are not so expensive.
Good Luck!
e.l.f. It's like a dollar and I love it. They sell it at Big Lots (I think). I just buy it online. Love their stuff. (mine is INK black). It has a fine, felt-ish tip, I don't know if that's what you mean by 'hard, but even if you don't like it it's only a dollar!

I am loving wet and wilds liquid eyeliner right now. It is a true black that doesn't smudge, and they have a whole bunch of other colors and another one i really like, and use religiously is cg line exact. hope that helps.

HELP! :)
it looks like this:
http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Art鈥?/a>What is a good liquid eye liner?
Bobby Brown Gel Eyeliner is great. It is like a liquid one but in a cake form. It is long-wear formula, but I didn't find it too bad to remove.
Also Bourjois Liner Pinceau is a personal fave of mine. Not thick and an applicator that gives maximum control. ( DOn't use the Bourjois Clubbing Liquid Eyeliner - it is thick, gloopy and a NIGHTMARE to apply!)
Hope this helps
Love

I've tried expensive, cheap, drugstore, every kind of liquid liner you can think of! The best I've found is the cheapest I've used! It's Wet n Wild. Find it at most drugstores, Walgreens has it for sure.
Stay away from Urban Decay. If you didn't like the MAC then you for sure won't like it.
Hope this helps!
maybelline makes really greaat liquid eyeliners .
i use mine really thick , undeer the eye %26amp; on the eyelid %26amp; make a little point at the corner of my eye .. i guess yoou could saay its like whaat scene kids dooo . since thats whaat i am :]

well definately dont buy drugstore brands they irritate your skin and just dont give you the results you want. i only use yves saint lauren. it is the best makeup i have found. its make up is long lasting and doesnt smudge. they also have a great and very gentle eye make up remover.
i use almay liquid eyeliner. it stays on all-day but with water it comes off really easily =)

I've recently discovered cream eyeliner. It's easier than lyquid and pencial eyeliner!
I like the line HIP by Loreal.
Well go to a drug store.
They have good ones.

How can I apply liquid eye liner to my eyes?
because I use the pencil but it looks way better when you use liquid eyeliner because I do the winged style but when I try to do it with liquid it doesn't come out good I even try tracing it like I put on the pencil eyeliner thein the liquid but still it comes out ugly so that's why usually do it with pencil but I need help or tips because come on it looks 10 times much better when you do it with liquid so need help prontoHow can I apply liquid eye liner to my eyes?
practice putting it on. when I first started wearing liquid eyeliner it wouldnt come out neat. So it takes practice......and u might want to use a wet Q-tip to clean out smudges and make the line more the way you want it to be.... hope this helps! How can I apply liquid eye liner to my eyes?
Apply under the eyelashes, on the skin. Not on the inside, your eye water will wash it away quickly!
Buy a fine, thin sable hair brush from a store such as Sephora. The only secret to applying is in the quality of the brush. Most liquid eyeliners, even cheap ones, can go on very well when applied with the right brush.
Try dipping the pencil into the liquid and using it that way.
with ur hands..................... lol................
Very carefully, Watch the drippage if there is any. Get that in ur eye and you wont be going anywhere. Its always best to pull your eye skin taut first so you have a nice smooth surface. then apply as you like to achieve the effect you want.
Soft eyeliner pencils, liquid eyeliner, felt tip eyeliner that works like the liquid one and the cake eyeliners are the most common types available in the market. Pencils and felt tips must glide easily on the eyelid area and must not require pressure. Using eyeliner properly needs a lot of practice and a steady hand to avoid smudging it. Pencil and felt tip eyeliners are easier to control as you can use them like pens to sketch the desired look and define your eyes while liquid eyeliners need more practice just like using pointed brushes in painting and may smudge easily but they make better, brighter and clearer lines.

well first get infront of a mirror. steady your elbow, hold the liner gently like a pencil, and starting from a little past middle, gently press, tracing the line of the eye. As you come out, press alittle harder, creating the winged look. YOu csn always go pack, and practice the wing part with just a flick of the wrist.
