Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?

It all depends on where and what you're doing and how well your eyes uphold the makeup. Pencil tends to smudge and crease more so than liquid. If your skin is especially oily or if it's going to be a hot and humid day, pencil might not be the best choice. Liquid does have a more dramatic effect, but when applied correctly it can also create a smokey and/or natural effect. I recommend Stila smudge pots because it lasts all day regardless of the weather and you can smudge it (hence the name of the product) to create the same effect as a pencil. Hope this helps!Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?
I use both, and don't prefer one or the other. The liquid one though is much easier and it looks better, but the pencil can have a not so overdone effect. so it doesn't look al perfect, you know? you can use it like for the smoky eye, whereas the liquid is just to line. Plus, liquid stays on longer.Liquid or pencil eye-liner, and why?
Liquid liner for going out at night because it stands out more. Pencil for daytime as it looks more soft and natural.
eye-liner because eye liner stays and look better and it doesn't come off when you cry.
pencil liquid is a pain to get off plus it could run easier
Pencil looks nicer, and you can blend it in to make it look softer.... Liquid is harsh looking and should only be used if you're looking for a dramatic effect, like a night on the town....

I know someone who used liquid eyeliner on her wedding day, and it looked horrible....
Depends whatever you like better.

if it's gonna be a long night I'd go with liquid.

but it's your opinion really.
Pencil. The liquid flakes.
I'd say pencil. Because once my friend accidentally put the liquid in her eye. Ouch.... And I find it easier with the pencil one.
Liquid liners are great for making a BOLD line on the lids but not as great for under your eyes. To make your eyes POP you can use a pencil liner in the inner rims of your eyes (the entire eye*) that can make your eye color really pop. To make your eyeshadow POP use a thin line of black liquid liner on the lids as close to your eyelashes as possible. My favorite is a combination. Using a bright or light eyeshadow and coloring the entire inner rims of my eyes with a black eye lining pencil and making a thin line with black liquid liner on my lids near the eyelashes. Just please remember to NEVER put liquid liner insider or use it to line the inner rims of your eyes you can get a serious irritation and can even go blind if you are allergic.

Good luck and have fun finding your own individual look!
I like the pencil. But, I really can't apply the liquid very well. That's why. I don't have a steady hand, and when I was practicing with the liquid the lines were all wiggly.

Hope this helps.
pencil, because it stays on better than liquid. if it smears a bit you can just wipe it off. but liquid just spreads when u wipe it
It's all about personal preference.

Liquid makes more of a defined line and it is more dramatic, but if you apply it light enough it can work for daytime makeup too. Liquid generally goes on smoother than pencil too.

Pencils are more versatile, and smudge much better, these are more practical, but some people prefer liquid (me included). Pencils are a little harder to find something that won't tug at your eyelids, but there are a lot of good liners.

Try both kinds of liners out and see which one you prefer! Good luck!
